Katie Pack is a ceramic artist originally from Odessa, Texas. Her research, carried out during her BFA at the Pennsylvania State University, was focused power relationships within the Anthropocene, and how they affect both the world as a single system and individual identities. During her time at Penn State, she developed strong visual languages in clay and metal, balancing craftsmanship with exploration.
Over the past few years, she has worked as an assistant for both Bonnie Collura and Chris Staley, participated in community clay outreach through Clay Siblings, had several solo and group shows, and instructed youth pottery classes at the Center for Arts and Crafts. She is now a long-term resident and workshop coordination assistant for the Nottingham Center for the Arts in San Marcos, California. Her passion for art has continuously drawn her into different communities, and inspired a love for teaching and collaboration.
